The Chauri Chaura Scandal Will Be Included in the UP Board’s Course

The books of Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council (UP Board) will now include the heroics of the martyrs of the Chauri Chaura incident. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Department of Secondary Education is going to include the incident of Chauri Chaura in the curriculum of UP Board. CM Yogi has directed the Chauri Chaura public outrage to celebrate the centenary celebrations. In the first phase, students of more than 400 state and aided secondary schools of Gorakhpur division will be given a tour of Chauri Chaura site. This will enable the students to get familiar with the martyrs of the martyrs there.
In Chauri Chaura of Gorakhpur, on February 4, 1922, the brave soldiers of independence set fire to the police post after clashing with the British rule. This incident is known as Chauri Chaura Janakrosh. The story of this martyrdom of martyrs will now be made part of the curriculum in the UP board. With this, lakhs of students studying in the secondary schools of the state will be able to get familiar with the history of their heroes in Chauri Chaura Janakranti.
On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Department of Secondary Education will not only teach the history of the heroes as a course to the students but also make the students visit the Chauri Chaura, the place of martyrs. In the first phase, 87 government schools of Deoria, Maharajganj, Kushinagar and Gorakhpur of Gorakhpur division, students of 333 non-government aided schools will be taken to Chauri Chaura Martyrs site. It will also include private schools of the mandal.
Essay, painting and posters, quizzes, slogans, poetry writing and speech competitions will also be organized among the students in all secondary schools of Uttar Pradesh for the next one year from February 4, 2021, during the Chauri Chaura centenary celebrations. For this, we will first start at the school level.
