Shashi Kala Hospitalized Due To Corona Infection


Former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J. Jayalalithaa’s close VK Sasikala Natarajan has been discharged from the hospital. He was undergoing treatment at Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru due to Corona being infected. He was admitted here last week. The hospital had told in the bulletin issued on Saturday that Sasikala could be discharged from the hospital today. It added that the team of doctors had decided that he was fit for discharge and that he would be discharged from the hospital on Sunday morning with the advice of staying in home quarantine.
Sasikala was released on Wednesday after completing a four-year jail sentence on a disproportionate assets case. The case pertained to accumulation of disproportionate assets worth Rs 66.65 crore during Jayalalithaa’s tenure as chief minister from 1991-1996.
Sasikala was shifted from the prison hospital to the government-run Boring and Lady Curzon Hospital on 20 January. She was referred to Victoria Hospital the following day after feeling unwell and ill, where she was found infected with Corona
