Nana Patole Resigns As Speaker Of Legislative Assembly

President of Maharashtra Assembly, Nana Patole has resigned from his post. Nana submitted his resignation to Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Narhari Jhirwal. Let us tell you that Nana is now being given the command of the post of President of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress (MCC). Due to this, he has resigned from the post of speaker of the assembly. After the resignation of Nana Patole, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition will have to meet in Maharashtra. During this time, Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP will have to discuss again for the post of president and decide a new candidate.In Maharashtra politics, Nana Patole comes from Vidarbh who has great influence in Kunbi society. Nana Patole is an MLA from Sakoli seat (Sakoli, Bhandara) in Bhandara district. Party sources said that he will replace Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat as Maharashtra Pradesh Congress chief.Significantly, Nana Patole has a reputation as a rebel leader. He left Shiv Sena in the 90s and joined Congress. In 1992, when Patole was not given a ticket by Bhandara Zilla Parishad elections. He then contested as an independent and became a rebel and defeated his own party’s authorized candidate Madhukar Leechde. Nana has also lived in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections on a BJP ticket and defeated Praful Patel of NCP. But in 2017, he resigned from the party and then joined the Congress on 11 January 2018 the following year.
