Megha Parmar, Who Is Preparing Transgender Kittu For Mount Everest, Was Welcomed At IIMC

Mount Everest winner and brand ambassador of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ campaign of Government of Madhya Pradesh was welcomed by the program of Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) on Wednesday. Kittu, India’s first transgender and mountaineer Shobhit Sharma, who accompanied her to Virgin Peak were also present on the occasion. Director General of IIMC, Prof. Sanjay Dwivedi, Additional Director General K.K. Satish Namboodiripad and Additional Director General (Training) Mamta Verma also participated.
On this occasion, Megha Parmar said that Kittu conquered Virgin Peak peak of 6000 meters height on 2 October last year. Now she is preparing Kittu for Mount Everest. If Kittu conquers Mount Everest, she will be the first transgender in the world to do so. Megha said that after Kittu reached the summit of Virgin Peak, the eunuch community received the same respect as male-female, hence the slogan “Male-female and eunuch are equal”.
Sanjay Dwivedi wishes for his expedition to conquer Mount Everest
Director General of IIMC Prof. Sanjay Dwivedi said that from Megha and Kittu we should learn how to set one goal in life and try to fulfill it. The story of Megha emerging from a small village in Madhya Pradesh to become Mount Everest winner is inspiring for all of us. On this occasion, Prof. Dwivedi also wished Kittu for his expedition to conquer Mount Everest.
In the program, Prof. Pramod Kumar, Prof. Sangeeta Pranvendra, Prof. Shashwati Goswami, Prof. All employees and officials including Rajesh Kumar participated. Earlier, Megha Parmar, Kittu and Shobhit Sharma met Home Minister Amit Shah and discussed with him their experiences and future plans for mountaineering.
