IND vs ENG: 4th Test – Day 1 Ends With England All Out For 205 &India At 24/1 At Stumps

The opening day of the last and final match of the Test series between India and England saw England wrapping up the first innings with 205 runs while India scored 24 runs at the loss of one wicket at stumps, trailing by 181.
The day began with England winning the toss and opting to bat first. The first day did not prove to be fruitful for the English batsmen as the highest scorer for the side was Ben Stokes (55 runs) followed by Dan lawrence (45) and Ollie Pope (29). England opened with a disappointing start, losing both the opening batsmen too early. Zak Crawley scored 9 runs while Dom Sibley managed only 2. A disappointing day with 205-run total.
India on the other hand lost Shubman Gill for duck while Rohit Sharma scored 8 runs and Cheteshwar Pujara scored 15 runs by the end of the day.
India leads the four-match series by 2-1 and need just a draw or win to qualify for the World Test Championship final against New Zealand to be held in June.
