The Kerala government on Tuesday announced that the status of Saturdays as working days will be restored “wherever applicable”, after reviewing the current COVID-19 scenario of the state. “All employees are instructed to report for duty (on Saturdays) accordingly,” said the state government’s Disaster Management Department. Kerala recorded 15,876 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours which is the highest number in the country. State and Central Government are taking a lot of steps to control the spread of the virus.
