Eight Arrested For Robbery By Giving Lift On Expressway

The police arrested eight miscreants of the robbery who looted people on various highways including the Yamuna Expressway on Tuesday night. They used to give a lift to the accused and after robbing them of cash and jewelry on the way, they escaped leaving them in a deserted area. Police have recovered weapons from the accused. Cases are registered against the accused in Gautam Budh Nagar and Bulandshahr. Jewar Police was patrolling the area on Tuesday night. Police searched two people in two Swift cars near the Yamuna Expressway on Jhajhar Road near Jewar Interchange and illegal weapons were recovered from them. Accused Yamuna Expressway and other highways used to look for people who were waiting for the vehicle to go out. By giving them a lift, the accused used to sit in their car. On the way, they used to rob cash and jewelry on the strength of arms and leave them in the deserted area.The accused have been identified as Azad resident Secunderabad, Nadeem resident Secunderabad, Sonu resident Dankour, Kamal alias Kalu resident Bilaspur, Sunil resident village Saini Greater Noida, Bhola alias Gajju resident Roshanpur Dankour, Subhash resident Bilaspur, Devendra resident Bilaspur. Four rounds, cartridges and stabbings have been recovered from the accused. The accused were in the process of carrying out the crime in the area. Inspector Umesh Bahadur Singh, the in-charge of the police station, said that the accused had committed many incidents of looting. Cases are registered against him in various police stations of Bulandshahar and Gautam Budh Nagar.
